Hyderabad Kingsmen needed a big win against the Rawalpindiz to overtake Lahore Qalandars on net run rate and qualify for the playoffs. Usman Khan (54 in 26 balls) and Kusal Perera (50 not out in 30) laid the platform; Glenn Maxwell (70 in 37) then took over, lifting HK to 244-6 as Saad Masood finished with 2-34.
Still, to qualify, HK needed to restrict RWP to 158 runs or fewer. At 56-1 in the sixth over, that seemed unlikely, but RWP kept losing wickets at regular intervals against Akif Javed (3-38) and Hunain Shah (4-22). Only Usman Khawaja (66 not out in 43 balls) held the fort as they were bowled out for 136.

The four slots were decided, but the last match of the league stage determined who faced PZ in the Qualifier. Shan Masood top-scored with a 33-ball 44, while Mohammad Wasim Jr blasted a nine-ball 26 not out to take MS to 192-7. Mark Chapman then led the charge for IU, seeing them to a win with four wickets and ten balls to spare.
IU will now face PZ in the Qualifier, while MS will clash with HK in Eliminator 1.
