Hyderabad Kingsmen registered their first win in PSL history today (April 11), after they beat Karachi Kings, while Peshawar Zalmi beat Lahore Qalandars – here’s the updated points table after LQ vs PZ and KK vs HHK.

Karachi Kings batted first but quickly lost Reeza Hendricks off the fourth ball of the game from Mohammad Ali, caught by Akif Javed at fine leg. Muhammad Waseem and Salman Agha both got starts, but it was Saad Baig who capitalised, scoring 53 off 37 balls before he became the first player to be retired out in PSL history.
He was called off the field after the fifth ball of the penultimate over, when Karachi Kings were 184-6, and Abbas Afridi was sent out to the middle. Moeen Ali already made a definitive lower-order contribution, scoring 44 off 16 balls after he came in during the 15th over of the innings. Karachi made 188-8, with Afridi out for a duck in the final over.
Kingsmen lost wickets regularly in their chase. Marnus Labuschagne opened up with a brief flurry of boundaries before he was caught by Afridi with a stunner, diving forward low to the ground. Adam Zampa bowled a pivotal spell with the ball to keep the scoring rate in check in the middle overs, before Irfan Khan came in at No.6 to guide the side over the line. Kingsmen knocked off the winning runs with five balls to spare.
Peshawar Zalmi beat Lahore Qalandars by 76 runs in the first match of the day.
