Mohammad Naeem (60 in 28) and Parvez Hossain Emon (45 in 19) stitched together an 86-run stand in just 31 overs, before Emon was dismissed. The number three batter, Abdullah Shafique, continued in the same vein, scoring 33 in 14, as Lahore reached 144 in just 8.5 overs.
