Overseas batters Daryl Mitchell (65 off 41) and Sam Billings (58 off 35) were the highest scorers for Rawalpindiz, while Pakistan quick Hasan Ali picked up 3-24 in four overs for Karachi Kings.
Karachi captain David Warner scored a half-century (50 off 36 balls), and wicketkeeper Azam Khan (74 off 34) made his first T20 half-century in two years to take his side home.
