Batting first, Quetta lost Sam Harper early, but opener Saud Shakeel (42 in 39) anchored the innings alongside Rilee Rossouw (53 in 42). The duo put on 87 runs for the second wicket in 67 balls, before Hasan Nawaz (39 in 16) gave the innings some momentum. A six-ball 21* from No.7, Jahandad Khan, took Quetta over the 180-run mark.
Ben Sears was the top wicket-taker for Rawalpindiz, taking three wickets, but he was expensive, giving away 41 runs.

Rawalpindiz, who were opening with Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khawaja, were unable to put up a fight. Rizwan departed for a golden duck, falling to Jahandad, while Khawaja followed suit, with seven off five. The innings never picked up pace, as Usman Tariq (2-23) spun a web in the middle. Saud Shakeel and Jahandad also picked up two wickets apiece, as Rawalpindiz succumbed to a 61-run win.
