The leading wicket-taker for every season of the PSL is awarded the Maroon Cap and the Fazal Mahmood Award, named after Pakistan’s first great bowler: Sufiyan Muqeem holds the Maroon Cap after today's PSL 2026 matches.
The previous winners are Sohail Khan (2017), Faheem Ashraf (2018), Hassan Ali (2019), Shaheen Shah Afridi (2020 and 2022), Shahnawaz Dahani (2021), Abbas Afridi (2023), and Usama Mir (2024). Hassan’s 2019 record of 25 wickets remains a season record for the league.
PSL 2026 Maroon Cap: Top wicket-takers
Sufiyan Muqeem of the Peshawar Zalmi won the Maroon Cap in PSL 2026, with 22 scalps. Hyderabad Kingsmen’s Mohammad Ali finished second, followed by teammate Hunain Shah, Islamabad United’s Shadab Khan, and Lahore Qalandars’ Shaheen Shah Afridi.
