The leading wicket-taker for every season of the PSL is awarded the Maroon Cap and the Fazal Mahmood Award, named after Pakistan’s first great bowler: Sufiyan Muqeem holds the Maroon Cap after today's PSL 2026 matches.
The previous winners are Sohail Khan (2017), Faheem Ashraf (2018), Hassan Ali (2019), Shaheen Shah Afridi (2020 and 2022), Shahnawaz Dahani (2021), Abbas Afridi (2023), and Usama Mir (2024). Hassan’s 2019 record of 25 wickets remains a season record for the league.
PSL 2026 Maroon Cap: Top wicket-takers after PZ vs QG
Sufiyan Muqeem (Peshawar Zalmi) is at the top of the list, with 17 scalps. Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lahore Qalandars) is second with 13, while Hassan Ali (Karachi Kings) is at third place. With 10 wickets each, Iftikhar Ahmed (PZ) and Mohammad Amir (Rawalpindiz) are next.
