Here's a round-up of all the action from day two of the fifth round of the 2025/26 Ranji Trophy season.

Group A

KV Sasikanth and Saurabh Kumar added to their overnight wickets tally to bowl Jharkhand out for 328 in Jamshedpur. In reply, riding on Abhishek Reddy’s unbeaten 103, Andhra had taken off 224 from the lead.

For Odisha, Anil Parida remained unbeaten on 118 as they finished their first innings on 275. Rajesh Mohanty, Sambit Baral and Govinda Poddar then took three wickets apiece to bowl Nagaland out for 161 before Odisha finished the day with a lead of 130 runs after losing two quick wickets.

In Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu’s lower order stretched their total to a fat 455 before Uttar Pradesh started strongly in reply with Abhishek Goswami’s half-century. Meanwhile, Nachiket Bhute, Ganesh Bhosle and Parth Rekhade picked up three wickets each to stop Baroda three short of Vidarbha’s first innings total. Dhruv Shorey’s half-century then stretched their lead to 129 by stumps.

Vidarbha 169 all out and 126-3 (Dhruv Shorey 61, Ninad Rathva 1-17) vs Baroda 166 all out (Vishnu Solanki 59*, Ganesh Bhosle 3-30).

Group B

Maharashtra added 75 runs to their overnight score to finish their first innings at 350, losing five wickets on the day. In reply, Punjab have failed to stitch a considerable partnership and trail by 225 runs in New Chandigarh.

Saurashtra built on the solid base their middle order had built, with Prerak Mankad and Gajjar Sammar hitting centuries, against Goa, who lost Suyash Prabhudessai in the first over but have consolidated since.

In Indore, Baba Aparajith fell just two short of a century against Madhya Pradesh, who couldn’t translate a strong start to the day, with their Nos.7 and 8 doing the bulk of the scoring in reply.

Karnataka Smaran Ravinchandran, meanwhile, hit a second Ranji double century in three games, as Shreyas Gopal triggered a Chandigarh collapse, who lost four wickets in the space of 32 runs after a quick opening stand of 41.

Kerala 281 (Baba Aparajith 98, Mohd Arshad Khan 4-54) vs Madhya Pradesh 155-6 (Saransh Jain 41*, Nidheesh MD 2-39).

Karnataka 547-8 (Smaran Ravichandran 227*, Jagjit Singh Sindhu 2-70) vs Chandigarh 72-4 (Manan Vohra 14*, Shreyas Gopal 3-18).

Group C

Services’ Amit Shukla added three more wickets to his eye-popping figures of 5-1 from day one to help bowl out Haryana for 111. Assam could only add six runs to their overnight total before fifties from Abhimanyu Easwaran, Habib Gandhi, and Shahbaz Ahmed propelled Bengal to a 67-run first innings lead by stumps.

Mohammad Saif and Bhargav Merai hit 150s to swell Railways' total to 446 by the end of day’s play against Tripura. Gujarat, meanwhile, added just six runs to their overnight total before sending in Uttarakhand. Captain Kunal Chandela’s hundred brought the north Indian side close to Gujarat’s total, but that wasn’t enough for a first-innings lead.

Tripura 136 (Vijay Shankar 44*, Raj Choudhary 4-30) vs Railways 446-9 (Bhargav Merai 160, Abhijit Sarkar 4-69).

Gujarat 324-8 dec (Jaymeet Patel 100, Mayank Mishra 3-54) and 5-0 vs Uttarakhand 272 (Kunal Chandela 116, Vishal Jayswal 3-29).

Group D

Amandeep Khare (101*) and Mayank Verma (112) hit hundreds for Chhattisgarh in Amtar, before Mayank Yadav broke Himachal Pradesh’s opening partnership. Akash Anand hit a century on top of Siddesh Lad’s while Shardul Thakur added a quickfire 32-ball 56, and then picked up three early wickets, against Puducherry.

Kunal Singh Rathore (102), Mahipal Lomror (128*) and Kartik Sharma (120), all hit centuries for Rajasthan, who declared in the final session of the day against Delhi. Meanwhile, the J&K vs Hyderabad game has moved at a quick pace in Jammu, with the visitors adding just 33 runs to their overnight total. Qamran Iqbal, Abdul Samad and Kanhaiya Wadhawan then hit second-innings fifties.
