Elite Group A

In Cuttack, Chennai Super Kings batter Shaik Rasheed’s unbeaten 140 powered Andhra to 475-9 before they declared. Saurabh Kumar, batting at No.8, also contributed with a rapid 69 off 38 balls.

Jharkhand posted a mammoth 510-8 declared against Nagaland. Shikhar Mohan hit a double century, while captain Virat Singh also contributed with 105. Gujarat Titans’ Kumar Kushagra (58 off 60) and Mumbai Indians’ Robin Minz (75 not out off 31) blasted rapid fifties.

In Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu added only 39 runs to their overnight score of 252-4. Supporting Pradosh Ranjan Paul's century, Baba Indrajith made 96. Vidarbha's Nachiket Bhute picked up a five-wicket haul. Vidarbha then mounted a solid response, courtesy of half-centuries from Aman Mokhade and Dhruv Shorey.

For the second day, play was washed out in the Baroda-Uttar Pradesh encounter in Vadodara.

  • Andhra 475-7 d (Shaik Rasheed 140*, Sambit Baral 2-85) v Odisha 80-4 (Gourav Choudhury 48, Kavuri Saiteja 2-16). Odisha trail by 395 runs.
  • Jharkhand 510-8 d (Shikhar Mohan 207, Rongsen Jonathan 3-129) v Nagaland 37-0 (Sedezhalie Rupero 19*, Sahil Raj 0-2). Nagaland trail by 473 runs.
  • Tamil Nadu 291 (Pradosh Ranjan Paul 113, Nachiket Bhute 5-65) v Vidarbha 211-2 (Dhruv Shorey 80*, R Sai Kishore 2-72). Vidarbha trail by 80 runs.
  • Baroda v Uttar Pradesh: No play possible on day one and two.

Elite Group B

Uday Saharan scored 126 on his first-class captaincy debut, taking Punjab to 325. Goa mounted a spirited response, reaching 92-0 at stumps with a half-century from Royal Challengers Bengaluru-capped player Suyash Prabhudessai.

Karnataka's total of 586-5 declared was built on double centuries from Karun Nair (233) and Smaran Ravichandran (220).

Against Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh were 384-8 in 106 overs in the first innings when bad light stopped play. Five of those wickets were taken by seamer Jagjit Singh.

In Nashik, after the first day was washed out due to rain, only 12 overs were possible on the second, with Saurashtra reaching 61-1.

  • Punjab 325 (Uday Saharan 126, Deepraj Gaonkar 3-34) v Goa 92-0 (Suyash Prabhudessai 58*, Krish Bhagat 0-10). Goa trail by 233 runs.
  • Madhya Pradesh 384-8 (Harpreet Singh 116, Jagjit Singh 5-69) v Chandigarh.
  • Karnataka 586-5d (Karun Nair 233, N Basil 2-101) v Kerala 21-3 (N Basil 11*, Vidhwath Kaverappa 2-7). Kerala trail by 565 runs.
  • Saurashtra 61-1 (Harvik Desai 28*, Mukesh Choudhary 1-20) v Maharashtra.

Elite Group C

In the Bengal-Tripura match, Shakir Habib Gandhi fell for 95 after resuming from his overnight score of 82. However, Sudip Gharami scored a century. Shahbaz Ahmed, the star with the ball in Bengal’s previous match, remained unbeaten on 40 to take Bengal to 336-9.

The Railways-Assam match in Guwahati saw little play due to rain; Railways progressed to 57-2 from their overnight score of 39-0.

Uttarakhand were bowled out for 257, with half-centuries from Jagadeesha Suchith and Saurabh Rawat. Arjun Sharma, who took a hat-trick in the previous round, finished with 4-79, while Vikas Yadav took a five-wicket haul. Services were 178-7 at stumps.

Following a washout on day one, Gujarat were bowled out for 163. India A spinner Nishant Sindhu picked up a three-wicket haul, as did Nikhil Kashyap. Haryana reached stumps at 90-4.

  • Bengal 171-1 (Sudip Gharami 108, Rana Dutta 3-76) v Tripura.
  • Railways 57-2 (Suraj Ahuja 22, Ayushman Malakar 2-11) v Assam.
  • Uttarakhand 257 (Jagadeesha Suchith 67, Vikas Yadav 5-53)v Services 178-7 (Mohit Ahlawat 75, Jagadeesha Suchith 2-36). Services trail by 79 runs.
  • Gujarat 163 (Kshitij Patel 50, Nikhil Kashyap 3-34) v Haryana 90-4 (Nishant Sandhu 29, Vishal Jaiswal 2-36). Haryana trail by 73 runs.

Elite Group D

Shubham Khajuria's 190 off 344 powered Jammu & Kashmir to 394, with Chhattisgarh's Ravi Kiran (7-82) being his side's top bowler.

From 248-6 on day one, Delhi were all out for 294. Sanat Sangwan fell just one run short of his century, while Sumit Mathur remained unbeaten on 71. Puducherry's Ajay Rohera set the tone for their response with an unbeaten 107 off 139.

Rajasthan have taken a first-innings lead after bowling out Mumbai for 254. Deepak Hooda's 121 not out off 159, laced with 13 fours, took them to 337-4.

Responding to Himachal Pradesh's 318, Hyderabad were teetering at 78-5 and then 132-7 before Chama Milind's counter-attacking 94 not out off 116 helped them surge back into the match.

  • Jammu & Kashmir 394 (Shubham Khajuria 190, Ravi Kiran 7-82) v Chhattisgarh 75-1 (Aayush Pandey 32, Umar Nazir 1-23). Chhattisgarh trail by 319 runs.
  • Delhi 294 (Sanat Sangwan 99, Sagar Udeshi 4-36) v Puducherry 240-4 (Ajay Rohera 107*, Simarjeet Singh 2-50). Puducherry trail by 54 runs.
  • Mumbai 254 (Yashasvi Jaiswal 67, Kukna Ajay Singh 4-66) v Rajasthan 337-7 (Deepak Hooda 121*, Tushar Deshpande 2-50). Rajasthan lead by 83 runs.
  • Himachal Pradesh 318 (Akash Vashisht 118, Tanay Thyagarajan 4-80) v Hyderabad 274-8 (Chama Milind 94*, Divesh Sharma 3-66). Hyderabad trail by 44 runs.

Plate Group

Manipur posted 505-3 before declaring their innings against Arunachal Pradesh. All of their top three – Karnajit Yumnam, Ulenyai Khwairakpam, and Ronald Longjam – scored centuries.

No play was possible in the Bihar-Meghalaya match in Patna for the second day running due to rain.

After a washout on the opening day, Arman Jaffer's 132 not out took Mizoram to 244-3 at stumps on day two against Sikkim.
