The Indian Test team is playing a three-day practice match against Sri Lanka XI, starting today (August 7) - here’s where you can watch the practice game live.
The big news from the Indian camp is that Test skipper Shubman Gill sustained an impact to his right finger during India’s practice on Thursday. As a result, he will not take the field on the first day of the fixture, with KL Rahul leading in his absence.

Sri Lanka XI won the toss and opted to bat first in the game that is being held at the Nondescripts Cricket Club in Colombo. They made 23 in the first six overs, with Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna opening the innings with the ball for India.
The entire squad can take part in the warm-up, with no dedicated XI being named. The two teams are going to face off in a two-match Test series from August 15, with the first match being played at Galle. The second match will be played in Colombo from August 23.
All matches will begin from 10 am local time.
