After being put in to bat, the Sunrisers Leeds scored a modest 116 in the first innings, on the back of a fighting 34-ball 48 from Bryony Smith. Deepti Sharma also starred with a 15-ball 23. Issy Wong was the star of the show for Southern Brave with three wickets for just 15 runs.
Just as the Brave were in a spot of bother at 36-3, Jemimah Rodrigues played a handy knock, scoring a 34-ball 42* in the chase. Rodrigues steadied the ship and got the side home for their second consecutive victory.

Due to her composed knock of an unbeaten 42, Rodrigues was handed the ‘Player of the Match’ award.
Earlier, Bryony Smith’s 48 got the Sunrisers to a respectable total as she was the only batter to cross the 25-run mark from their side. Wong was the best bowler of the competition with three wickets and 15 runs in her 20 deliveries.

Welsh Fire got to an above-par 177-4 on the back of crucial knocks from Georgia Voll (42), Sophie Devine (52) and Georgia Wareham (43*). Hayley Matthews scalped two wickets but went for 52 runs off her 20 deliveries.
In response, MI London kept losing wickets at regular intervals. None of the batters other than Chinnelle Henry were able to score above 20 runs, as Welsh Fire dominated proceedings.

Georgia Voll scored a crucial 26-ball 42 with seven boundaries. Skipper Sophie Devine scored a brisk 29-ball 52, which helped Welsh Fire up the ante. However, it was Georgia Wareham’s 20-ball 43 which helped Fire finish strong.
Grace Potts ran through the MI London batting line-up with three wickets in her 20 deliveries, giving away 24 runs. Sophia Smale, Devine and Wareham scalped two wickets each to rattle the MI London side. As a result, MI London were bundled out for 117, with the Welsh Fire registering a 60-run victory - their first win this season.
