Bihar scored a mammoth 574-6 in their 50 overs during the Vijay Hazare Trophy clash against Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday (December 24), the highest ever in List A history.
For just the second time, a team crossed the 500-run mark in List A cricket, with Bihar also becoming the first to score over 550.
The clash, being held at the JSCA Oval Ground in Ranchi, saw Bihar win the toss and bat first. The team were led by opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who scored 190 off 84. He reached his hundred in 36 deliveries, becoming the second-fastest Indian to a List A ton. He later went down the list in the matter of a couple of hours and is now the fourth-fastest Indian to the milestone.
Hundreds from wicketkeeper Ayush Loharuka (116 in 56) and skipper Sakibul Gani (128* in 40) helped the team to a formidable total. Piyush Singh also contributed with 77 in 66 balls. Bihar hit a total of 49 fours and 38 sixes in their innings.

Bihar smash the highest List A total
Their total of 574-6 is the highest by any team in List A cricket, with the other team to make 500 also belonging from India. Tamil Nadu had smashed 506-2, also against Arunachal Pradesh, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2022.
England are the only international team to score over 450, having done so twice - when they made 498/4 against the Netherlands in 2022, and 481-6 against Australia in 2018.
Surrey, who made 496-4 against Gloucestershire in 2007, cap off the top four in the list of highest List A scores.
