With a 2,500-ball cut-off, Vasuki Koushik now has the second-best bowling average in the history of List A cricket.
Vasuki Koushik enters List A bowling record books
Having played for Karnataka throughout his career, Koushik switched to Goa this season and has so far had an impressive stint. From six games in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy, he has claimed 14 wickets at 15.57 apiece. This is now the sixth time in his seven-season career that he has averaged under 20 (though the numbers for 2025/26 may change).
Now 33, Koushik has the second-best List A bowling average (16.44). He sits between West Indies fast bowlers Keith Boyce (16.05) and Joel Garner (16.61). To go past Boyce, Koushik needs to take 3-10 or 4-26 in his next game (two wickets will not do it). On the other hand, if he takes 0-17 or 1-34, he will drop below Garner.
