WI vs AUS 2025 Tests: Team news
West Indies white-ball captain Shai Hope has earned a recall, having last played a Test in December 2021. Also returning is opener John Campbell, with his previous Test appearance being in June 2022. Brandon King and Kevlon Anderson have received maiden call-ups in the format. They will be led by Roston Chase, who succeeded Kraigg Brathwaite in the role after the latter stepped down.

For Australia, the most notable selection call is the omission of Marnus Labuschagne for his poor run of form. Steve Smith, who injured his finger while fielding in the 2025 WTC final, is named in the squad and is expected to return for the second Test in Grenada from July 3. Fast bowler Brendan Doggett has been ruled out due to an injury, with uncapped seam-bowling all-rounder Sean Abbott named as his replacement. They called in Sam Konstas and Josh Inglis for the first Test.
