When will the WI vs PAK ODIs be played?

The first match will be played on August 8, followed by the second on August 10 and the third on August 12. All matches will be held at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. While the series opener will start at 2 pm local time, the last two matches will begin at 9:30am local time.

The two teams last played an ODI against each other in a three-match series in 2022. On that occasion, hosts Pakistan whitewashed the opposition 3-0. In the overall head-to-head record of the format, West Indies hold a slightly better advantage over Pakistan, winning 71 matches compared to Pakistan’s 63. Three games have ended in ties.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam return to action, having last played against New Zealand earlier this year. Shaheen Afridi also marks his return to the format after being left out of the ODI squad against New Zealand. Mohammad Nawaz, who last played an ODI in 2023, is also included. Hasan Nawaz is the only uncapped player in the squad.

West Indies have named a 15-member squad under Shai Hope’s leadership. Romario Shepherd returns to the ODI side for the first time since playing against Bangladesh last year. Teenage wicketkeeper-batter Jewel Andrew, who made his debut against Sri Lanka, retains his place. Pacer Jediah Blades, who earned his first cap against Bangladesh in 2024, also earns a recall. The day before the series opener, pacer Johann Layne was called up to replace the injured Matthew Forde.
