India will come into the game with two victories under their belt, against Thailand and Hong Kong, and they sit comfortably at the top of the Group A table with four points. Pakistan are also unbeaten, but have played just one game so far: a 35-run win over Thailand.
Smriti Mandhana sent multiple records tumbling en route to her monumental knock of 124 against Hong Kong, which saw her go past Mithali Raj to top the run-scoring charts in women’s international cricket. Muneeba Ali top-scored with 54 in Pakistan's clash against Thailand, while Sadia Iqbal took three wickets.
India and Pakistan have faced off 17 times in the shortest format, with the record skewed in favour of the former. India have 14 registered 14 wins, in comparison to Pakistan’s three. As far as the Asia Cup is concerned, India have gone down to Pakistan just once across seven appearances.
The Asia Cup fixture is scheduled to commence at 6:30pm local time (8pm IST, 3:30pm UK time) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
