June-August 2025
India will begin their 2025-27 cycle with a five-match Test series in England. The two sides last met in Tests at the start of 2024, when India claimed a 4-1 victory at home. Their previous tour of England in 2021-2022 ended in a 2-2 draw.
India v West Indies (home) – 2
October 2025
This series will mark the beginning of India's home Test summer. The first Test is scheduled for October 2-6 at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, followed by the second Test from October 10-14 at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium. While Kolkata's Eden Gardens was originally slated to host the second match, the BCCI later announced this venue change.

India vs Sri Lanka (Away) – 2
August 2026
The 2015 series marked India’s first Test series win in Sri Lanka since 1993. Two years later, they returned for another tour, securing a dominant 3-0 whitewash, their last Test visit to the island nation. In August 2026, India will tour Sri Lanka again for a two-Test series, nearly two years after suffering an ODI whitewash there.

India vs New Zealand (Away) – 2
October 2026
India will conclude their away commitments for the cycle with a two-Test series in New Zealand. This comes after suffering a 3-0 whitewash against the same opposition last year, which ended their long-standing unbeaten streak at home, jeopardising their World Test Championship final equation.
India vs Australia (Home) – 5
January 2027
Mirroring the previous cycle, India will conclude their schedule with a five-Test showdown against arch-rivals Australia, this time on home soil. The 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy defeat (3-1) cost them a spot in the 2025 World Test Championship final, adding extra motivation to reclaim the trophy.
