UAE women's skipper Esha Oza smashed her sixth T20 hundred, against Nepal at the 2026 Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars, equalling two Australian legends in the process.
Esha Oza makes 125 out of team total of 189
Esha Oza had picked up 2-30 and made an unbeaten 61-ball 72 in a chase of 131 as the UAE beat India A on Friday. The UAE captain put up another scintillating performance in the Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars on Sunday (February 15).
The UAE were asked to bat after losing the toss and they got off to a poor start, losing opener Theertha Satish for an eight-ball one in the third over. Two more wickets followed in the powerplay as they ended the first six overs at a score of 22-3. That, however, turned out to be pretty much all the success Nepal had in the UAE innings.

Oza, who had opened the batting and seen wickets fall at the other end, was now joined by Heena Hotchandani and the duo stitched a 167-run fourth-wicket stand that was only broken off the last ball of the innings when Oza was run out.
The UAE finished on 189-4 from their 20 overs and Oza on 125 off 63. She hit 14 fours and nine sixes, which amounted to a whopping 110 in boundaries. Her partner, Hotchandani, meanwhile, played the supporting role to perfection, remaining unbeaten on 45 off 38.
In response, Nepal put up a strong fight, courtesy of half-centuries from Samjhana Khadka (58 off 39) and captain Puja Mahato (53 off 35), but they fell 18 runs short, ending up on 171-5 in 20 overs.

Oza completed her quota of four overs again, but was expensive in this game, conceding 35 runs for no wickets. That did not prevent her from getting her second consecutive Player of the Match award, though.
Most women's T20 centuries
This was Oza's sixth hundred in T20 cricket. She is now joint-third on the list of women with most T20 centuries, sharing the spot with Beth Mooney and Alyssa Healy.
Unfortunately, the match did not have T20I status. If it did, Oza would have become the first cricketer to make six T20I hundreds across genders. Curently, she has five, joint most with Glenn Maxwell and Rohit Sharma.
The record for the most women's T20 centuries is currently shared by South Africa's Lizelle Lee and New Zealand's Sophie Devine - both have eight tons each.
