The ICC Women’s T20I rankings have been refreshed following the annual update, with no change at the top but a slight closing of the gap between the leading sides ahead of the 2026 women's T20 World Cup.

Australia continue to occupy the No.1 position with 287 points, despite a drop of eight points. England remain second on 275 after a marginal two-point decline, while India have edged up to 264, reducing the gap further from third.

As part of the update, matches played since May 2025 now carry full weight, while those from the preceding two years are valued at 50 per cent. Matches played before April 30, 2023 have been excluded from the calculation. The update has not affected the rankings of the top 16, with all teams holding their respective positions from last year.

New Zealand stay fourth with 253 points following a slight decrease, with South Africa in fifth on 243. The contest for the next few spots remains tight, as West Indies, on 238, are closely followed by Sri Lanka, who have gained seven points to reach 237 and sit just one point behind.

Pakistan continue in eighth place with 216 points. Ireland have moved up to 200 after a two-point increase, maintaining a narrow lead over Bangladesh, who are now on 199 following a five-point rise.

Further down the rankings, the USA have moved up two places to 20th, improving their rating to 98. Germany have also made notable progress, gaining 10 points to reach 66 and climbing from 35th to 29th. The Netherlands and the UAE have both improved their ratings, though without any change in their positions.

A total of 78 teams are included in the latest rankings, each having played at least eight T20Is over the last three years. Cambodia have dropped out and require four more matches to be reinstated, while Peru are no longer ranked after not playing any fixtures in that period.
