Peshawar Zalmi are playing an exhibition match against Legends XI on Saturday (August 30) to help the victims of recent floods in Pakistan. Here’s where you can watch the charity match live.
Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has experienced widespread damage due to recent floods and heavy rains, leaving thousands displaced. To aid flood victims, Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi, led by captain Babar Azam, announced a charity exhibition match. The initiative is supported by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department and the local government. The match is being played at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.
Babar Azam, who was recently left out of Pakistan’s T20I squad for the Asia Cup, has been named captain of Zalmi XI. The squad also includes Pakistan-capped fast bowler Ihsanullah and Maaz Sadaqat, who was part of the Pakistan Shaheens squad in the Top End T20 Series.
Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is leading the Legends XI. He is joined by other Pakistani stars of yesteryear such as Waqar Younis, Younis Khan, Saeed Ajmal, and Shoaib Akhtar, who all evoke a sense of nostalgia.
