Teenager Davina Perrin produced a record-breaking century in the Women’s Hundred 2025 Eliminator between Northern Superchargers and London Spirit.
Perrin hits fastest-ever century in the Women's Hundred
Perrin’s 42-ball ton is now the record for the Women’s Hundred fastest ever, eclipsing Tammy Beaumont’s 52-ball effort from 2023, the only other century in the competition's history. In the men's competition, Harry Brook holds the record with a 41-ball ton in 2023.
She carried the Superchargers to an all-time tournament highest total of 214-5, the first 200-plus score ever recorded in the Women’s Hundred.
The previous record (181) was set by Welsh Fire, against Trent Rockets in 2023.
Perrin became the youngest ever to be picked in the Hundred draft, signed up by Birmingham Phoenix as a 15-year-old in 2022. Since then, she’s risen through the ranks spectacularly, recently finishing among the top three run-getters in the Women’s T20 Blast. The 18-year-old was part of England’s U19 Women’s T20 World Cup squad this year (her second), finishing as the second-highest run-scorer.
Having debuted in the Women’s Hundred last year, she started this season strong with an unbeaten 72 against Trent Rockets earlier this month, but didn’t cross 15 in her next six innings. The century has now pushed her into the top five run-getters this season.
She reached her century off 41 balls with a four off Eva Gray, punching the air in celebration, surrounded by applause from the Oval crowd. She finished with 101 off 43, helped by 15 fours and five sixes.
Superchargers first team to cross 200
Her blitz headlined the Superchargers onslaught: they raced to 100 in just 47 balls, and added 50 in a further 24 deliveries. Perrin combined with Alice Davidson-Richards for a 105-run opening stand, off which the latter contributed a quieter 18 off 15.
However, they suffered a stutter towards the end, losing Phoebe Litchfield and Perrin across three deliveries, and Annabel Sutherland the following over. Hollie Armitage then fell next ball for a duck. From 169-1, they slipped to 176-5. However, Nicola Carey undid some of the damage with a fiery 31 off 12, including 22 off the last five balls.
Perrin’s innings ended with an unfortunate run-out, failing to return to the non-striker’s crease after a shot was deflected off the bowler’s fingers.
Perrin, who also topped the run-charts for Central Sparks in the 2024 Charlotte Edwards Cup, represented England A Women on New Zealand A’s white-ball tour in July. In an interview with Wisden.com the same month, she revealed that she was looking to channel “a bit of Sir Viv (Richards)” in her batting.
The winner of the Eliminator will face Southern Brave in the final on Sunday.
