The 13th edition of the Caribbean Premier League starts on August 14: here’s the full list of CPL 2025 captains for the six teams.
The upcoming edition will see 30 league matches running between August 14 to September 14. That will be followed by the Eliminator between the third and fourth-placed teams on September 16. The top two teams then meet in Qualifier 1 on September 17, where the winners advance straight to the final while the loser gets another chance in Qualifier 2 against the Eliminator winners on September 19. The final is on September 21.
Six countries in the Caribbean will host the tournament: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago.

Guyana Amazon Warriors
At 46, Imran Tahir continues to defy age. After leading the Guyana Amazon Warriors to their maiden CPL title in 2023, he followed it up with a runners-up finish in 2024. Most recently, he was part of South Africa Champions’ World Championship of Legends-winning squad, finishing as the tournament’s third-highest wicket-taker (8 wickets).
Trinbago Knight Riders
Kieron Pollard, 38, will continue as captain of the Trinbago Knight Riders. After ending as runners-up in 2023, they finished third in the league stage last season before bowing out to the Barbados Royals in the Eliminator. Pollard’s most recent T20 stint was with MI New York, who were the eventual champions.
