Taijul Islam registered his 19th five-wicket haul during the ongoing Test vs Zimbabwe to overtake Mitchell Starc on the list of left-arm bowlers with most five-fors in the format.

The Bangladesh left-arm spinner picked up seven wickets in the first innings of the ongoing one-off Test against Zimbabwe, his 19th five-for in the format and the third time he took seven or more scalps in an innings. He bowled a staggering 40.2 overs and conceded 138 runs as the visitors were made to toil hard by Innocent Kaia and Co. in Harare.

Despite Taijul's record effort, Bangladesh have been left chasing the game. They were first skittled out for just 140 in the first innings before Zimbabwe rode on Kaia’s brilliant knock to post 410 and take a 270-run first-innings lead. At the time of writing, Bangladesh had gone down to 130-6 in their second innings, still trailing by 140 runs.
