Sri Lanka and Pakistan women will lock horns in the first of the three-match ODI series on July 23, Thursday. The next two matches are scheduled to take place on July 25, Saturday and July 28, Tuesday. All the matches of the series will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.
This series is part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29. Pakistan and Sri Lanka are placed second and third, respectively, in the points table, having won four out of six matches so far in this cycle.

Sri Lanka are coming into this series after missing out on a semifinal spot in the T20 World Cup that concluded earlier this month. Chamari Athapaththu will continue to lead the side.
Vishmi Gunaratne, Hasini Perera and Inoka Ranaweera are some of the experienced players who will feature in the series for Sri Lanka. Notably, Mithali Ayodhya, who picked up four wickets in the mega event with her slingy action, has not been selected.
Meanwhile, Pakistan were extremely disappointing in the T20 World Cup, winning only one out of five matches. However, when it comes to ODIs, they have been in good form, having whitewashed Zimbabwe in their previous three-match series. As for their squad, apart from retaining the majority of the players, the visitors have also included uncapped players Maham Anees and Saira Jabeen.
