South Africa beat India in a crucial game while West Indies thrashed Sri Lanka in the Women's T20 World Cup. Here’s how the Women’s T20WC points tables look like after the games.

Hayley Matthews gave West Indies a rollicking start, taking three wickets in her first two overs to reduce Sri Lanka to 9-3 in Bristol. They were eventually bowled out for just 98, with Nilakshika Silva's 34-run stand with Kavisha Dilhari and 23-run partnership with Kawya Kavindi preventing them from a embarrassing total.

West Indies seemed to be cruising to the total at 69-3 entering the 12th over, but Jahzara Claxton and Chinelle Henry fell on consecutive deliveries to produce a nervy finish. However, Stafanie Taylor saw them through. The 2016 champions now have a foot in the semifinals with three wins in three.

Later in the day, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma gave India a brisk start against South Africa, getting to 30 within three overs. Kapp clean bowled Mandhana but that didn’t affect Shafali, who slammed two fours and a maximum off the three balls after her partner’s dismissal. But Shabnim Ismal removed her in the last powerplay over, which slowed down India considerably.

At 54-2 in 5.4 overs following Shafali’s dismissal, India could get to the 100-run mark only in the 13th over, and eventually finished at 158-7. Off the next five batters, only Deepti Sharma scored at a strike-rate of over 120. Kapp and Ismail took two wickets each, while Shafali was India’s top-scorer with a 15-ball 31.

India won the powerplay again, with Shree Charani removing Laura Wolvaardt and Annerie Dercksen in the sixth over after a sustained period of pressure. South Africa were reduced to 25-2 at the same stage India were 54 for the loss of two wickets. But Kapp and Tanzim Brits together added 97 runs for the third wicket, taking the game away from India.

Kapp was notably dropped twice by Radha Yadav, the second time just two balls after Shafali had dismissed Dercksen. The great all-rounder eventually took South Africa past the target, putting up a briliant display of power hitting to finish at 81 off 45 and mark South Africa's second win of the Women's T20 World Cup, leaving India potentially needing a win against Australia now to make the semi-finals.
