The 2025 Women's World Cup will take place in India and Sri Lanka later this year, with the venues and schedule now confirmed for the eight-team tournament: here's the full fixtures list for the competition.
When will the Women's World Cup start?
The 13th edition of the competition will get underway in Guwahati on September 30, with the two host countries kicking off the tournament. While it's India's fourth time hosting the women's 50-over World Cup, Sri Lanka will be first-time hosts. Each team will also play two warm-up games starting September 24.
The final will be played on November 2.
Where will the semi-finals and final be played?
Colombo will be Pakistan's home for the tournament, with the India-Pakistan clash set to be held there on October 5, while Sri Lanka will also play several of their games at home.
Depending on whether Pakistan reach the knockout stages of the tournament, either Guwahati or Colombo will host the first semi-final, while Colombo will host the final should Pakistan reach that stage. The second semi-final will be held in Navi Mumbai, and so will the final if Pakistan don't qualify.
Which venues will the 2025 Women's World Cup be played at?
Four venues in India will be used for the tournament, with a revised list from the original plans in order to accomodate clashes with men's domestic competitions in India and to prioritise favourable weather conditions.
The four venues in India to be used are: DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam). R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo) will be the only Sri Lankan venue used for the tournament.
Women's World Cup: Team news
Australia go into the tournament as defending champions after they beat England in the 2022 final in New Zealand. They will be gunning for their eighth World Cup title, with England and New Zealand the only other two nations to have won the event so far. The eight teams competing in the tournament will be: India, Sri Lanka, England, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Africa.
West Indies are notable absentees from the tournament, having failed to make it through the Qualifier tournament in a dramatic final showdown against Thailand. It's the first time the Caribbean side will miss a Women's 50-over World Cup since 2000, having finished runners up in 2013 – the last time the tournament was hosted in India – and reached the semi-finals in 2022.
