The 2025 World Championship of Legends final is set to be played between Pakistan Champions and South Africa Champions on Saturday (August 2) – here’s where to watch the live telecast of the WCL 2025 final on TV, along with live mobile streaming details.
WCL 2025: Road to the final
Pakistan and South Africa, the top two sides in the group stage, will now clash in the final at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Pakistan are the only unbeaten team, having won four of their five matches, with their game against India being cancelled less than 18 hours before play – earning them a point. South Africa have also won four matches, but their only loss came against Pakistan.
In the semi-final, Pakistan were again set to face rivals India. However, India forfeited the match after several of their players reportedly refused to play – repeating their stance from earlier in the tournament. As a result, Pakistan were given entry to the final.
The second semi-final between South Africa and Australia was one for the ages. The match went down to the wire, with AB de Villiers pulling off a last-ball run-out to defend South Africa’s total of 186-8 – winning by just one run.
Beyond his fielding heroics, de Villiers has had a stellar campaign. With 309 runs in five matches at an average of 103 and a strike rate of 228.88, he currently leads the run-scoring charts. His scores so far read: 3, 63, 116, 123, and 6.
