Biography

Zimbabwe's mass exodus of cricketers in the mid-2000s forced selectors to blood in a young Keegan Meth into the international side even though he was a rookie in domestic cricket.

Meth's career got off to a rollicking start as he hit a half century on his first ODI batting performance against Kenya but from there on, it all went downhill and after playing just five ODIs, the Bulawayo born player was dropped from the team. He continued to remain on the fringes of national selection but it would be four long years before he made his comeback on the ODI tour of Bangladesh in 2010.

A potential all-rounder, Meth is a technically sound batsman who can bowl at decent pace but still has plenty of improvements to make, both on the batting and bowling fronts. Meth is expected to blossom with time and will be one of the many young cricketers who are expected to be Zimbabwe's torch bearers in future.
