Biography

For a fast bowler, Mohammad Talha has an unconventionally thin body but does extract surprising pace. Born on Oct 15, 1988, he is a decent fast bowler and came into the limelight with Pakistan's pace sensation Mohammad Amir. Playing for National Bank of Pakistan in the 2008-09 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy against Customs, he scalped 10 wickets for 119 runs in the match. By the end of the season, he had managed to pick up 34 wickets in only 6 games.

During his younger days he idolized Brett Lee, Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram. He had a stint in the National Cricket Academy with Aaqib Javed and was then included in the national squad to eventually make his debut against Sri Lanka in the Test match at Lahore in 2009. After consistent performances in the domestic circuit, he was again included in the squad for the Test series against Bangladesh in December 2011.
