Halfway through the 2010s, Mitchell Santner joked to Daryl Mitchell that the latter’s namesake, the captain of Worcestershire, was the better Daryl Mitchell. The Worcestershire batter finished as a domestic giant in 2021 with nearly 14,000 first-class runs.
