In this quiz, you have to match the following Indian tournaments to the personality they were named after.
The naming of cricket tournaments is usually an exercise in homage to the past. The most notable exception to this rule is The Ashes, which received its name when Test cricket was less than a decade old. Since then, various international bilateral series have been named in honour of legends from one or both countries – Frank Worrell Trophy, Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Sobers-Tissera Trophy, Wisden Trophy and so on.
Quiz! Name every England men’s Test opener in the 21st century
In domestic cricket, this is not very different, particularly in India. Nearly every major domestic competition in Indian men's cricket is named after a notable personality – administrators are yet to catch up on the women's side of things.
Quiz! How well do you know cricket’s variants and distant cousins?
This quiz will require you to match the given hint to one of the answers available to you. When prompted, with the description of the tournament, you will have to select the person it is named after. In more or less every case, the person's name itself is within the name of the comeptition. For the ones where it is not an exact match, it is close enough to deduce.

There are 15 tournaments here, but don't worry – they are not as obscure as say, the Kanga League of Mumbai or P Sen Memorial Trophy of Kolkata. The ones on this list are contested at a nation-wide level.
