A total of 14 double-centuries have been scored to date in ODIs across men’s and women’s cricket. However, only Glenn Maxwell is the middle-order batter among them, while the others are openers. Middle-order batters seldom get a chance to go big in the 50-over format.

There have been a plethora of excellent ODI batters who never made a big hundred. When we say big hundreds, we mean 150. Interestingly, as many as 21 batters have managed 10 or more centuries in their careers but have never managed to breach the 150-run barrier until July 15, 2026.
