T20 cricket is just a shade over 20 years old, but the short nature of games has made it possible to fit in an incredibly large volume of them. Between T20 internationals, franchise competitions and domestic tournaments, some match in the format is going on almost year-round.

Several players have taken the career option of specialising in T20 cricket, travelling across the world for various competitions. Many of the bowlers, therefore, have racked up wicket tallies in the hundreds. Doing this for a single team, though, can be difficult – and is quite rare.

Twenty-five men's cricketers have taken 150 wickets for one T20 team, and only four have taken 200-plus. Of these 25, eight have done so for their national team. In May 2026, one bowler took his 219th wicket for a franchise outfit, to give him the world record.
