India's squad for the 2025 Asia Cup is set to be announced today (August 19): follow all the live updates from the press conference, including the complete team list here.

When will the Asia Cup start?

The Asia Cup will be played between September 9 and September 28 with eight teams participating. India are the defending champions, having won the 2023 edition which was played before the 2023 World Cup in the ODI format. This time, with a T20 World Cup approaching early next year, the Asia Cup will be played in the T20I format.

Ever since the thrilling end to the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, there has been a lot of speculation around the makeup of India's squad for the Asia Cup, with the primary debate being around whether Shubman Gill would find a spot or not. The questions should be answered today, during the press conference which chief selector Ajit Agarkar and men's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav are expected to address.
