After South Africa won the first of the three T20Is in Cardiff by 14 runs via the DLS method, England fought back in Manchester. The hosts put on their highest men’s T20I score of 304-2 before bowling the Proteas out for 158. The margin of victory (146 runs) was also England’s biggest. On Sunday, the decider at Trent Bridge was a washout, with the series tied 1-1.
In the Asia Cup encounter on the same day, India beat Pakistan by seven wickets to continue their dominance over their opponents. Kuldeep Yadav (3-18) put a stranglehold on the Pakistan batters, restricting them to 127-9, before captain Suryakumar Yadav (47 not out off 37) sealed the chase with 25 balls left.

The drawn England-South Africa T20I series saw no team move from their original position before the start of the series. England remain in third with a rating of 257, while South Africa are in fifth with a rating of 243.
In the high-voltage India-Pakistan Asia Cup match on Sunday, India's win saw them consolidate their top position in the men's T20I team rankings, while Pakistan remained in eighth with a rating of 232.
