As many as 11 players from Pakistan featured in the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League 2026 across five different teams. Here’s how they fared in the tournament.
Shadab Khan (Antigua and Barbuda Falcons)
M: 5 | 132 runs at 66, SR 227.58, HS: 52*, 1 fifty | 11 wickets at 12.45, Eco 4.89, BBI 4/16
Leg-spinner Shadab was named Player of the Tournament for his all-round show. His brilliant spell of 4-16 came in Qualifier 1 against the Guyana Amazon Warriors and he went wicketless only once in the seven innings he bowled. Shadab also starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 52 against the Trinbago Knight Riders before smashing a nine-ball 30 not out against the Amazon Warriors that took the Falcons en route to the trophy.
Hasan Nawaz (Antigua and Barbuda Falcons)
M: 9 | 220 runs at 36.66, SR 127.16, HS: 76, 1 fifty
Nawaz was just was brilliant for the Falcons, smashing 220 runs at a strike rate of 127. His unbeaten 47 off 35 deliveries helped his side chase down 171 in the final. Before that, his 76 off 48 against the Knight Riders had got the Falcons going on a four-match winning streak.
Sufyan Moqim (Antigua and Barbuda Falcons)
M: 6 | 12 wickets at 9, Eco 6, BBI 4/13
Moqim was named the Player of the Match in the final for picking up 4-14 to restrict Jamaica Kingsmen to only 170 despite a century from Maaz Sadaqat. This was his second consecutive four-wicket haul, having secured 4-13 in the first qualifier against the Amazon Warriors.
Usama Mir (Antigua and Barbuda Falcons)
M: 2 | 2 wickets at 29, Eco 7.25, BBI 1/17
Mir also turned up for the Falcons but played only two matches and picked as many wickets. He was with them at the start of the season before featuring in the Top End T20 Series in Darwin for Hyderabad Kingsmen Academy.
Mohammad Haris (Guyana Amazon Warriors)
M: 2 | 10 runs at 5, SR 90.9, HS: 9
Haris, a late inclusion this season, couldn’t make the most of this opportunity. Included for the playoffs, he returned scores of one and nine as his team was knocked out of the tournament after losing to Jamaica Kingsmen in the second qualifier.
Maaz Sadaqat (Jamaica Kingsmen)
M: 7 | 363 runs at 51.85, SR 174.51, HS: 114, 2 hundreds | 1 wicket at 9, Eco 4.5, BBI 1-6
Sadaqat was the real find for Kingsmen this season. Opening the innings, he smashed 363 runs at 175 in seven matches with two centuries. These included 114 off 58 deliveries with eight fours and nine sixes in the final where he did not get any support from the other end. It was his second century in three matches, having earlier scored 112 runs against the Barbados Tridents.
Saim Ayub (Jamaica Kingsmen)
M: 6 | 182 runs at 45.5, SR 151.66, HS: 102, 1 hundred | 3 wickets at 67, Eco 9.13, BBI 1/20
Ayub announced himself in the CPL with a scintillating 102 in his second appearance, against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, but had very little to show apart from that. He couldn’t cross 30 in four matches after scoring a ton and finished with only 182 runs in six outings.
Usman Khan (Jamaica Kingsmen)
M: 6 | 79 runs at 15.8, SR 119.69, HS: 28
Usman never really excelled this season. With the highest of only 28 from six matches, the 31-year-old will feel he missed out on scoring big in the competition.
Hunain Shah (Jamaica Kingsmen)
M: 13 | 16 wickets at 22.62, Eco 7.95, BBI 2/23
Hunain was one of the most consistent bowlers this season. He finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker with 16 wickets at a sub-eight economy. This included a streak of nine consecutive matches where he took at least one wicket.
Naseem Shah (St Kitts and Nevis Patriots)
M: 6 | 7 wickets at 17.28, Eco 7.11, BBI 2/11
Naseem, Hunain’s elder brother, also performed decently in the competition this year. He accounted for seven wickets in five innings, with his best performance coming in the Patriots’ final league stage encounter, which they lost by four wickets to the Tridents.
Usman Tariq (Trinbago Knight Riders)
M: 9 | 10 wickets at 21.3, Eco 6.26, BBI 3/21
Tariq, known for his pause before delivering the ball, did his best for the Trinbago Knight Riders who finished last with only three wins in 10 matches. The mystery spinner was consistent for his team, going wicketless only in one out of nine matches he played this season.
