Warwickshire beat Yorkshire by five wickets to reach the second spot on the Division 1 standings, behind Nottinghamshire. After dismissing Yorkshire for 205 in the first innings, Warwickshire needed 185 to win at Leeds, they slipped from 45-0 to 109-4 before Zan Malik (45 not out) and Ed Barnard saw them home.
The match at Southampton fizzled out to a draw after Durham made 511 and Hampshire 470 in their respective first innings. Chasing 321 at Taunton, Somerset slumped to 8-2 and then 78-5 before James Rew (116) helped them beat Essex by three wickets.

County Championship 2025, updated Division 2 standings
Leicestershire beat Northamptonshire inside three days at Leicester. Chasing 289 at Leicester, Northamptonshire were bowled out for 156 as Josh Hull led the rout. Lancashire made 450 at Manchester, but Gloucestershire secured a 139-run lead before Tom Price (3-52) and Graeme van Buuren (3-36) had the hosts at 160-6. However, Luke Wells (36) and Tom Hartley (37) played out time.
At Cardiff, Glamorgan claimed nine fourth-innings wickets – Ben Kellaway got 5-101 – but could not get the tenth. Luis Reece and Blair Tickner, the last two Derbyshire batters, hung on for 28 balls to save the game. In a thriller at Lord’s, Middlesex needed 365 against Kent, and became 314-8 despite Luke Hollman’s 103. Zafar Gohar (30 not out) and Toby Roland-Jones then won the game in the dying stages of the match.
