Watch: Gloucestershire all-rounder Cameron Green spilled Zak Crawley's catch at first slip but an accidental riccochet off his boot meant the ball ended up in the hands of the wicketkeeper, ending Crawley's stay at the crease.
The incident occurred in the County Championship Division 2 game between Kent and Gloucestershire. England opener Zak Crawly was facing Tom Price on the third ball of the second over when Price bowled an out-swinger and Crawly stuck his bat out to defend.
The ensuing nick went to Australian international Cameron Green, who was standing at first slip. The ball bounced off Green's palms and somehow rebounded off his legs and boot as he fell over, landing up in wicketkeeper James Bracy's gloves.
This dismissal for just one run extends Zak Crawley's woeful form following two single-digit scores in the first two rounds of the County Championship. Crawley's last international half-century came 11 innings ago, against Pakistan in Multan. Scrutiny around his place in the Test team is growing as England gear up for a bumper season including a five-match series against India in the summer and one against Australia in the winter.
