Latest ICC rankings for ODI batters: Keacy Carty continues to rise, Joe Root re-enters top 25
Carty continued with his remarkable run in ODIs, hitting three hundreds in 10 days. He now has 1,403 runs from 33 ODIs, breaking Viv Richards’s West Indian record of 1,399. He also jumped four places on the ICC rankings to reach 12th place, one behind Shai Hope.
Joe Root, meanwhile, scaled 14 places after 57, the record-breaking 166 not out, and 44 against the West Indies. They helped him return to the top 25 – he is 24th now – for the first time since September 2023.
The top ten, however, remained unchanged. It is worth a mention that Heinrich Klaasen, who retired from all international cricket earlier this week, is still at fourth place.

Latest ICC rankings for ODI bowlers: Massive leap for Saqib Mahmood
Eight wickets in three ODIs against the West Indies resulted in Mahmood’s leap from 130th to 48th on the ODI bowlers list. Across the same series, Alzarri Joseph rose from 27th to 18th and Adil Rashid from 19th to 15th, while Gudakesh Motie fell from 11th to 16th and Jofra Archer from 19th to 26th.
As with the batters, the top ten remained unchanged.

Latest ICC rankings for ODI all-rounders: Gudakesh Motie jumps six places
A lone wicket in three ODIs might have hurt his bowling rank, but Motie hit 18, 18, and 61 to jump six places and secure the 15th spot on the all-rounders ranks. Rashid rose four places to 19th and Joseph six places to 21st.
Here, too, the top ten remained unchanged, though they include Glenn Maxwell, who recently retired from ODIs.
