The ICC men’s T20I rankings were updated after India beat New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2026 final. Here’s how the teams stack up.

India beat New Zealand comprehensively in the T20 World Cup final in Ahmedabad on Sunday (March 8) to become the first team to successfully defend their title. After being put into bat first, the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson gave the team a rollicking start, adding 98 runs in just 7.1 overs; each of them went on to score half-centuries.

Ishan Kishan, coming in at No.3, maintained the tempo and scored a half-century himself, while Shivam Dube provided the finishing touches to take India past 250 for a second consecutive game. Bowlers did the trick in the chase, not allowing New Zealand to get off the blocks, with Jasprit Bumrah taking 4-15 while Axar Patel finished with figures of 3-27.
