The eight-team event, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, gets underway on Tuesday, with 31 ODIs being played across 34 days in five venues. The matches will be played in Colombo in Sri Lanka, and in four cities in India: Indore, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam and Navi Mumbai. Defending champions Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and Bangladesh are the other participants.

All games will be day-night matches, starting from 3 pm local time, barring one. The England-New Zealand fixture on October 26 will be a morning encounter, starting at 11 am IST.

Each team will play each other once in the competition, with the top four then qualifying for the semi-finals on October 29 and 30. The final will be held in Navi Mumbai, unless Pakistan qualify, in which case, it will be shifted to Colombo.
