Batting first, India made 518-5 before declaring their innings. The star of India's batting was Yashasvi Jaiswal, who hit his fifth score over 150. Shubman Gill also scored an unbeaten 129. In reply, the West Indies were bowled out for 248, with Kuldeep Yadav proving to be India’s wrecker-in-chief with figures of 5-82.
Having achieved a first-innings lead of 270 runs, India enforced the follow-on. The tourists showed some resistance in their second innings, with John Campbell (115) and Shai Hope (103) leading the improved batting display. However, they soon suffered a collapse, slipping from 212-2 to 311-9. Justin Greaves (50 not out) hung in with No. 11 Jayden Seales (32) to stretch the innings before they were all out for 390.
In the fourth innings, KL Rahul guided India to the target of 121 with an unbeaten 108-ball 58. The home side secured victory in the first session of day five with seven wickets in hand. The win gave India a 2-0 series clean sweep, after they had won the first Test by an innings and 140 runs.

India are currently fourth in the ICC Test team rankings with a rating of 108, inching closer to third-placed England, who have a rating of 112.
West Indies, on the other hand, are eighth with a rating of 70. Australia, the defending World Test Championship runners-up, currently sit at the top of the table. They last played against West Indies in the Caribbean, sweeping the series 3-0.
Zimbabwe are the lowest-ranked side among the Test-playing nations.
