The 2025 IPL will get back underway today in Bengaluru after a 10-day hiatus. Here's what the points table looks like ahead of the tournament's resumption.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will get the tournament underway again, facing Kolkata Knight Riders on home turf. KKR are still in the hunt for a play-offs place, currently sitting sixth in the table and needing strong results from their remaining fixtures to break into the top four. RCB currently sit in second place, just below Gujarat Titans on NRR.
The IPL was suspended after conflict erupted between India and Pakistan earlier this month. Following the announcement of a ceasefire, a plan for the tournament to resume was announced by the BCCI. The remaining 17 matches will be played across six venues, including Bengaluru, with the final moved to June 3 and two double-header days scheduled for Sunday, May 18 and Sunday May 25.
There has also been much speculation over the return of overseas players who left the country when the tournament was suspended. Several sides have signed temporary replacements for players who are now unavailable due to international commitments. Moeen Ali and Rovman Powell will both not return to KKR's set-up, while RCB have signed Mayank Agarwal as a replacement for injured Devdutt Padikkal.
