The 2025 IPL will resume on Saturday after it was suspended temporarily due to flaring political tensions with Pakistan.
The first game in the revised itinerary will be held on May 17, with RCB taking on KKR at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. A total of 13 league games are yet to be played, with four playoff matches. The first round will end on May 27, with Qualifier 1 being played on May 29. The final is now scheduled for June 3.
The revised match list has raised uncertainty over the return of overseas players, particularly those representing franchises that are no longer in contention for the title. Several others have international commitments and are unlikely to return for the remainder of the league.
Six venues have been shortlisted for the last few games of the IPL: Lucknow, Jaipur, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The final, initially to be hosted by Kolkata, is set to be played in Ahmedabad.
