IPL 2025 is reportedly set to resume after it was suspended for a week following the flaring tensions between India and Pakistan.
Cricket has felt the repercussions of the conflict, with both the PSL and the PSL getting suspended. The PSL was initially set to resume in the UAE, but the Emirates Cricket Board reportedly declined PCB's request to host the tournament. No resumption date has been announed for the PSL yet.
The IPL, scheduled to host the final on May 25, saw its league game between the Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala being called off as a “precautionary measure”. The floodlights went out at the venue, after which the game was called off, with spectators being asked to evacuate. A one-week suspension news followed on May 9, with overseas players flying back home.
However, with military action between both nations now dying down after an "understanding", BCCI is reportedly trying to get the IPL back up and running.
