The IPL 2025 is set for resumption after a one-week pause due to the India-Pakistan conflict. Here are the updated full squads, including the list of replacements and withdrawals.
For the remaining matches of the current edition, the IPL governing body has announced that franchises to sign temporary replacements. However, those replacements can’t be retained for the next season to ensure that no franchise incentivises the amendment as a way to circumvent the auction process. While some players have withdrawn entirely for the rest of the league, some will miss the playoffs due to national commitments.

Chennai Super Kings confirmed that Sam Curran and Jamie Overton will miss the rest of the tournament. Already out of contention for a playoff spot, CSK are yet to name their replacements. Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, have roped in Mustafizur Rahman as a replacement for Jake Fraser McGurk.

For the Gujarat Titans, Jos Buttler will fly out for national duties against the West Indies after the league stage. As a result, Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis has been signed as a temporary replacement for the playoffs.
Punjab Kings, another franchise, who are favourites to reach the playoffs, have signed New Zealand seamer Kyle Jamieson as a replacement for his injured compatriot Lockie Ferguson. In another injury replacement, Will O’Rourke has been signed up by Lucknow Super Giants for Mayank Yadav.
Mumbai Indians will be without Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks for the knockout stage. To ensure their replacements should they reach the playoffs, the franchise is reportedly in talks with Jonny Bairstow and Richard Gleeson.
Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders, whose playoff hopes now hang by a thread, will be without Moeen Ali and Rovman Powell.
