24-year-old Jordan Cox has been added to England's squad for their T20I series against Ireland later this month.

On Wednesday (September 3), the team announced that Cox had been added to the T20I squad, which will be led by 21-year-old Jacob Bethell. England are currently contesting a three-match ODI series against South Africa, which will be followed by three T20Is. The T20I series against Ireland will run from September 17-21.
Cox was named the Player of the Tournament in the 2025 season of the Hundred, which concluded last Sunday. He was the leading run-scorer in the competition as his side, Oval Invincibles won the title for the third year running. Cox finished with 367 runs, as no other batter made more than 300 – including an outrageous 86 off 29 balls against Welsh Fire that contained 10 sixes, a tournament record.
He has twice been in line for an England Test debut: in New Zealand last November and at home against Zimbabwe this May. On both occasions, it was delayed due to injury. Cox has played three ODIs and two T20Is so far.
