Latest ICC men’s T20I team rankings: Updated table after South Africa beat Zimbabwe to win T20I tri-series

South Africa started their campaign on a disappointing note, going down to Namibia in the tri-series opener. Then they beat Zimbabwe twice, and settled their dues with Namibia before beating the former in the final.

As for hosts Namibia, their opening win against South Africa was the only one they could manage. However, they came extremely close to victory in their first clash against Zimbabwe, and got to 217 runs in a 229-run chase against South Africa.

Zimbabwe experienced a roller-coaster of a campaign. They suffered defeat in both their clashes against South Africa, but beat Namibia twice, once in a thriller, to book a berth in the final.

Dewald Brevis, who was named the player of the series, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius, top-scored with 226 runs each, with Pretorius putting on a show in against Namibia. Bjorn Fortuin and Brad Evans scalped 10 wickets, but were second to Duan Jansen, who finished with 11 wickets in four outings.

Latest men’s T20I rankings after South Africa clinch tri-series

South Africa remained fifth, but lost two rating points after the defeat to Namibia, before gaining one after the series in.They are three points clear of Pakistan in sixth. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, remained 12th, but gained a rating point, and are now have three points more than 11th-placed Ireland. Namibia leapforgged Nepal and Scotland to get to 15th in the table.
