Today's PSL 2026 matches: Who are the players to watch out for?
Hyderabad Kingsmen vs Rawalpindiz, Karachi, 2:30pm local time
After four losses on the trot, the Kingsmen secured back-to-back wins in their last two games, following Glenn Maxwell's arrival and captain Marnus Labuschagne's move to the top of the batting order. The Aussie pair, as well as opener Maaz Sadaqat and young quick Hunain Shah are undoubtedly the main draws on the Hyderabad side.
Rawalpindiz are rooted to the bottom of the table with five losses in five, but do count the exciting Abdullah Fazal and Saad Masood in their middle order. Watch out for Ben Sears as well; the New Zealand quick is more than capable of making early inroads with the ball.
Karachi Kings vs Islamabad United, Karachi, 7:00pm local time
Karachi have had a strange season; they are fourth in the table despite having the second-worst net run rate, and their captain, David Warner, was detained for drink driving in Australia. He returned for the game after that, but did not play their most recent fixture. If Warner does not play, Jason Roy could get a game – he was signed as a replacement for Muhammad Waseem just yesterday. Hasan Ali will be one to watch, having taken nine wickets in four games so far.
Islamabad have been the best team in the competition outside of Peshawar Zalmi, and will want to keep their form going here. Teenager Sameer Minhas is undoubtedly the most exciting player in the side; he leads the run-scoring charts for IU, and is fifth overall. Shadab Khan has had an excellent season with the ball and Aussie spinner Chris Green has also looked impressive.
