Who were the top performers in LQ vs QG?
Usman Tariq was Quetta’s best bowler, returning figures of 3-18 from four overs. He dismissed Abdullah Shafique and Shaheen Shah Afridi in the tenth over before returning at the death to dismiss Sikandar Raza. Jahandad Khan took 3-35. For Lahore, Haseebullah Khan was the top scorer with 33 off 37, but it was Usama Mir’s seven-ball 22 that gave them an outside chance in the game.
Afridi gave Lahore a great start, dismissing Shamyl Hussain in the first over. Rilee Rossouw and Hasan Nawaz (49 off 32) steadied the ship after Quetta were reduced to 11-2. The former remained unbeaten for 60 off 49 to see his side through comfortably. Bevon Jacobs scored 14 off six in a game where his replacement Dinesh Chandimal also surprisingly featured.
