Rebranded from Sialkot Stallionz, Multan Sultans have appointed Ashton Turner their captain ahead of Steve Smith, with the former having captained the Perth Scorchers to three Big Bash League titles. But Smith will likely open the innings with Sahibzada Farhan, who has been in form recently. 41-year-old Peter Siddle could make his PSL debut as well. Josh Philippe would likely be the fourth overseas player.
Chris Green was recently added to the Islamabad United, but with Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim both in the squad, Richard Gleeson could make his PSL debut. Decon Conway will likely open the batting with highly rated Sameer Minhas. Mark Chapman will take a middle-order spot, while Dipendra Singh Airee could get to play his maiden PSL game as well.
